Good middle-class, we were fortunately reserved for lunch, great service, large portions, you don't get two schnitzel everywhere. I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Absolute cheek to charge 3 € for an Esspresso ... That is normal coffee in an Esspresso cup ... Unfriendly service

Wonderful location in Bad Säckingen - park yr car in the Public Garage and on your interesting walk to the old wooden bridge across the river Rhine, to get to the Swiss side, where you feel right back in the Middle Ages looking at fountains, impressive buildings, pubs that may be cuddled into a home dating from the 12th century, a cathedral that must be visited and photographed! showing off its Roman roots 7th century and in the past centuries where it belonged to Austria finished out in the typical baroque / renaissance style abounding gold decorations and beautiful frescos. In the middle of all this beauty, you arrive at the rest. "Viertele," it means : a small "quarter," usually people will sit and enjoy sipping 250 ml of good wine - while enjoying a tasty lunch menu, or a splendid meal from the regular menu - always regional and fresh prepared. Two lovely ladies manage this place, I detected a Czech accent and an Alemannic accent , with the help of other very curteous ladies --- try to call them to reserve a table on their large terrasse outside, shaded by vines, ... my favorite: Leberle & Rösti served with a bountiful fresh salad as an entre, a "sour spritz light beer" great on a summer day, .... or try their fish menu painstakingly prepared, hot snd crispy, ... it is an oasis of peace and calm looking out at the colorful life beyond around the sculptures and fountain, ice cafes and bistros and small exciting boutiques, located in beautifully painted and flowers, red, blue, white, yellow, .,. you can listen to min. 36 different languages that are spoken by various employees and residents of this old, beloved town of Bad Säckingen, ... ... and the "Viertele" never closes down, never has a "Ruhetag" so you never stand in front of a locked door - they have a super crew working there! Very concientious of safety measures and sanitary precautiones, you need to fill out a registry form w name and phone no. (avoid names like Hillary Clinton or Angela Merkel!) I only recently visited there, they recognized me and asked me which table I had been sitting at, then they brought my former paper document and asked me to confirm it, then they said they would consider me as one of their locals, and welcomed me, in future I would not have to fill out any more papers, just tell them my name. I am so glad, I did not write on that paper "Ivanka Model Trumpelstielzschen" or "Donald Duck Tr..." --- we really have to get through this COVID 19 time safely. Enjoy!

Beautiful terrace, the food is simply excellent. Will definitely be back. Prices very fair, for large Black Angus perfectly grilled to the point, no 30 euros. Service super friendly, what more could you want

We have eaten here many times, whether privately for two, with our group, business or family, there is something fine for every price range and for every hunger :) The season tickets are always perfectly coordinated, regional and very tasty!
